Fiona Death

Fiona has over 20 years of research experience in freshwater ecology both in New Zealand and overseas (UK, USA, Spain, Chile). Fiona holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Canterbury and a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University.

Fiona has extensive experience in macroinvertebrate, periphyton and fish monitoring, water quality investigations, data analysis, assessment of environmental effects, and compliance assessments. She also teaches in university courses and has written many technical reports for regional and district councils, government agencies and private companies. In her role at Traverse, Fiona leads the delivery of resource consent compliance monitoring and reporting.
