Dr. Olivier Ausseil has over 20 years’ of experience as a practicing scientist, successively working as a researcher, a regional council scientist, and a private consultant.

With over 20 years’ of experience in the environmental planning sector, Simon has worked extensively with local government, Iwi, and private sector clients on a wide range of environmental projects.

SENIOR SCIENCE AND COMPLIANCE ANALYST

Fiona has over 20 years of research experience in freshwater ecology both in New Zealand and overseas (UK, USA, Spain, Chile).

SENIOR FRESHWATER SCIENTIST

Laura is a Senior Freshwater Scientist in Traverse’s Wellington office. Laura has more than 20 years’ experience in freshwater science, with expertise in hydrology, water allocation and groundwater–surface water interaction.

PRINCIPAL PLANNER

Deborah has worked as an environmental planning consultant since 2015, following various planning and compliance roles at local authorities in Auckland, the Manawatu and the UK.

PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST

Juliet is an applied environmental scientist with 25 years of experience working across a range of science and regulatory roles in Aotearoa New Zealand.

SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER

Gemma joined Traverse Environmental in 2021, following a career of over 15 years in a range of local and regional government planning advisory roles in the Waikato Region.

FRESHWATER SCIENTIST

Dimitrios is a Freshwater Scientist with expertise in freshwater macroinvertebrate ecology.

SENIOR FRESHWATER SCIENTIST

Summer’s expertise is in assessing river and stream ecosystem health through analysis of biological, habitat and water quality indicators.

ENVIRONMENAL ANALYST

Carys’s work involves water quality and ecological data analysis and spatial analysis using GIS. She also carries out a range of fieldwork, including water quality and periphyton sampling.
